William Wohlforth is the Daniel Webster Professor at Dartmouth College, where he teaches in Department of Government. Previously, he held positions at Georgetown, Yale and Princeton. A widely-recognized expert in international relations, he is the author or editor of ten books and some 70 articles and book chapters on topics ranging from the Cold War to European security, Russian foreign policy and contemporary US grand strategy. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Cambridge Studies in International Relations, Princeton Studies in International History and Politics, Security Studies, and International Security, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has held fellowships at Stanford’s Center for International Security at, the Hoover Institution and International Security Studies at Yale and has served as a consultant for the National Bureau of Asian Research and the National Intelligence Council.
